There are a number of ways to add photos as well. One is to start a posting and click on the photo icon at the top of the editing box. You can use that to upload a photo from your computer to the blogger website. And you can choose size and alignment. If you have a flickr account, you can post photos there and then choose the blog this option - with a few setup tweaks, it will create a blog posting with the photo.
